SPORTING LICENSES

COVID-19 UPDATE:
Please note that there has not been any change to the need for a sporting license or has there been an extension of expiration dates on these licenses.
Customers can order or renew through our call center (1-866-933-2257, M-F, 8:30-4:30), or online at https://decals.dec.ny.gov/DECALSCitizenWeb/citizenhome.htm
Customers will be given a transaction number to use as a license or registration when fishing.

Sporting licenses are available through the Clerk's Office during normal business hours:
Monday-Friday 10am-2pm (or by appointment).

Sporting licenses can also be obtained on-line from the DEC's website. Please note that fishing licenses can be printed immediately after registering, but hunting licenses will be mailed to you and may take up to 2 weeks.

Required documentation:

• Residents must provide NYS driver's license or other proof of residency.
• Training courses or proof of prior license are required for all resident hunting licenses.
• Minors under 16 years old may fish without a license.
